Paul says to Timothy “Send Mark because he will be USEFUL to me in my ministry.” I think being useful should be the number one calling of a Christian. A servant says “where do you need me?” It’s not about how I’m feeling, what I’m leaning towards, and I don’t need to pray about it- I’m here to help. Whatever, Wherever, Whenever. Maybe this is why Paul says “not many who were wise, mighty, or of noble birth were called”, because all that stuff gets in the way. Your “gift” isn’t that great- what is great is your availability. No strings attached serving is the better way. Don’t go to leadership and tell them what you are going to do, ask them where you can help. Once God sets you in a great church, make yourself useful to their ministry.
